I have a macbook air that still has applecare until may 2011 and was wondering if a cinema display purchased in feburary 2009 would be able to be covered under the MBA warranty? The MBA was purchased in 2008.

From the AppleCare support page under Important Notes.

If you purchase an Apple Display with your Mac, the AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac covers both the computer and the display.

http://www.apple.com/support/products/mac.html

If they're all on the same sales receipt (MacBook Air, ACD & AppleCare), then the ACD would be covered by AppleCare. Otherwise, it would have needed to be purchased separately for the ACD.

Sorry

what if i ordered a cinema display with a 3 year apple care AND a macbook pro.would that cover the macbook pro too?:D
