I just got a new screen on my MBP (Santa Rosa model mid 2007).
This was the first LED based notebook from apple.
One of the features back then was that the LED had substantial longer lifetime than CCFL backlighting.
Lately I got some dark spots/shades on the bottom right on my screen and I got the screen replaced by apple.
I one of the biggest difference is how much brighter this screen is!
I usually have the MBP in a laptop stand next to my EIZO screen and i always had the EIZO at about 55% brightness when i had the MBP at one bar from max.
With the new screen I have turned the EIZO up to almost 80% to match the MBP.
Have I just got a better screen or have my old LCD faded that much over a bit over 2 years?
(I bought the EIZO one and a half year after the MBP and I really didn't pay much attention on how much brightness i had it on in the start)
