I purchased this game figuring there would be some sort of explination on how to play and what all the numbers mean, but nothing. I have no clue what I'm doing. I've been to their site and read the FAQ and it was useless. Is there an explination somwhere on what all the numbers mean??

explanation, not "explinition" or whatever bastard misseplling. Anyway, if you don't know how to play it (go go Mattel), then you shouldn't even try.

Too funny. You know, I seem to remember just picking it up and figuring it out. When I was eight. ;)

Thanks for the tips Randman. So what your saying is the middle status screen shows your field position on top and the time left underneath. I think I see what you mean. Thanks man, it's actually nice to see someone helping for a change. :)

hahahahaha, too funny indeed

wow, the self appointed forum etiquette patrol hammered me today for not being helpful with one of my comments in an earlier post in a different thread but this sure made me laugh

Yea I see what you mean...just try to make holes to run past the blips and keep getting first downs until you get a touchdown. So you're saying on 4th down it would make sense to kickoff rather than try to go for it?

i understand where this kid is coming from though, when i was young i could tear this game up! I picked it back up about 2 years ago(thats right i still have it and it still works!!!) and i could not figure out how to play for a good day or two.:D

Check out the tips page on the developer's website:

Don't be such an ass........Wait......you're actually helping.

Thank you. After playing for about 20 minutes I figured it out. Shoulda played a little longer before making this thread. Pretty fun game,

See, now that kinda scares me. :)

I'm going to download this as soon as I get home, and I'll see how long it takes for me to figure it out. I hope it's a faithful reproduction, because I could CLEAN UP on that bad boy ... :D

This game was awesome back in the late 70s. I remember one X-Mas, it was sold out everywhere because all the kids had to have it. I think Coleco was the biggest manufacturer. I even had a basketball version. It had a pattern to it in that if you moved the same ways, you could always score. The problem was the score stopped at 99.

I love this game. I don't remember it as a kid. 1978 = before my time but it reminds me of the old school games of the 80's. Wasn't going to purchase at first but glad I did. Real fun.

Just makes holes and run run run

yeah i used to sit in the backseat of the car while my parents were driving, they would have music playing on the 8 track cassette player (remember that shiat?). from the backseat, the game would beep and blurp and stuff and my parents would get mad........

ahhhhh, good times, good times
