LED Light strip and Mac Mini sleeping?

Hi guys,

I bought a LED light strip for my mac mini which is behind the monitor but when I put the Mac mini to sleep the light stays on. Is there any way to switch it off without unplugging it or shutting the mac down?

Yes, you can take a hammer to it. Then it will turn off.

Honestly, do you want us to read your mind? Care to tell us what specific light strip you bought? How did you connect it? If you're going to ask a question, then you need to provide as much information as possible.

its a USB LED strip, obviously connected to the mac!

Macs normally leave power on to USB ports when asleep.

I think your only options are unplugging it or turning off the mac.

No, it was not obvious. What brand/model strip. Some of them can be controlled via scripts.

Yeah think your right mate, might look into a switchable USB hub
