LED Light won't stay on

Using Springflash, a torch app off the store or even the camcorder, the LED flash will not stay on, the amount of time it stays on is random, and when using the camcorder when the light gets too bright (Putting hand in front of camera etc) it turns off. Means I cannot use my phone as a torch, which I did a lot!

Any ideas?

There's plenty of led flashlight apps. Find a better one.
