LED Screens on MBP

So I'm a little confused, looking at apple's information page on the MBP seems to show that the MBP currently comes with an LED backlit screen. However, all the rumors seem to point to them introducing the LED screens to the 17".

So.... is this some new kind of LED screens, or are the current MBPs not LED backlit?

I'm one of the many waiting for the update, and also struggling between 15" and 17" models, so... just wondering what exactly this rumored LED screen in the 17" really is?

only the 15" is LEd backlight at the moment, the 17" is not.

most notebooks are light with florescent lighting, the most recent models (from june of 07) introduced LED backlighting, it gives a brighter more even lighting that will not dull with age, this is currently only available in the 15" Macbookpro and the new macbook air, its pretty much agreed upon that the next update will give LED backlighting to the 17" model as well
