I play it on xbox 360 but im curious to know why you are running it under windows and not the OS on the macbook? I've never played PC games but I wouldnt mind getting L4D on my macbook when i purchase it next weds.

Windows is one of the OS' on my MacBook. They don't make L4D for OS X.

L4D is just so fun online, and the computer version can be customized

I have a MacBook Pro 15, and it plays L4Dead fine, but my wife's MacBook White 13 isn't playing it at all, and I'm confused why. Her system is a Core 2 Duo 2.1, a 9400M graphics card, WinXp SP3 and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM (3 GB that WinXp sees). So wtf? Why might her's not play well?

it's not working in bootcamp? it might be the video drivers.

Edit: if it's a 2.1 then it doesn't have a 9400m... it has a x3100 which won't run it

didn't finish, my bad, long friggin day...it shouldn't be the video drivers. If windows correctly detects the 9400M, it shouldn't be a problem.

Whoops, we just checked in Device Manager, and sure enough it's an Intel chipset. Pewp The only thing is, that's a Direct X 9 compliant chip, and so it shoul at least run, if not run well. Her drivers are from 2007, so we'll try updating those.

...and the confusion is cleared. By reading a few forums on the net, it seems like the GMA graphics won't work...
