Just wondering if anyone has any ideas…. My find my left behind notification keep coming up with my iPad’s old name, not the new name… anyone know a fix…

I have tried rebooting my iPhone and iPad, ensuring the correct name is in find my etc… but it still comes up with the old device name whenever the notification comes through.

Thanks

Did you restore from backup onto your new iPad?

If so, did the name change to the old one? If it's correctly removed from Find My and has been wiped and the new one has a different name then you shouldn't be seeing this.

No I did restore it as new though as I had some issues with iPadOS 16, the device is named correctly on the iPad itself, in iCloud and in the find my app however the notifications are still coming through as the default iPad name when I set it up.

I tried adjusting the name last night, rebooting the device and then renaming and rebooting again to see if that fixes the issue… once I leave it at home today I will update to see if it fixed it
