I've started experiencing a problem today with my M1 Pro MBP14 where every so often left click stops working - the issue occurs with both the built in trackpad as well as external mice, which makes me think it's a software issue rather than hardware.
When this happens, I can move the cursor, and right click continues to work, but I'm simply unable to left click.
Restart fixes the issue temporarily, but each time it has come back - bizarrely it also happened in the recovery partition (I nearly reinstalled MacOS but haven't done this yet).
I've also tried messing around with the trackpad settings in system preferences, inc. turning off force click and haptic feedback, but this doesn't seem to have made any difference.
Anyone else experienced this issue or have a fix for it?
