Left click on mouse fails to respond

left click dead. Reinstalled system. Rebooted several time. Tried 3 mice. 7 year old 27 imac. Should I restore from backup? Keyboard still works. Was usiing bt keyboard and mouse. Tried usb mouse and keyboard. Mouse works when boot in recovery mode

OMG. I found an old Apple BT mouse in the top drawer that was accidentally turned on. Turned off and removed batteries.......Problem SOLVED
