I just reinstalled my OS and I realise something has changed.

Before, if I was mousing around the screen with finger 1 and I tapped with finger 2 then it would register a normal click. Now this isn't happening and I can't find the settings to correct it...

Help! Does anyone know what I'm talking about and how to fix it??

Go to system preferences, trackpad, enable secondary click check box. Hope that helps. Or maybe that's just the mouse. Make sure you have tap to click enabled.

You should pick up better touch tool. It's got some awesome features and it's free.

thanks for the help but that's not quite what I'm after...

I used to be able to do a 'primary click' by tapping a spare finger on the trackpad whilst holding another finger on it; that is, one finger to move the mouse and stay permanently on, and the other finger to click. It's quicker, more efficient and made me happy. Now I'm sad :(
