Left IPHONE 4 in car on hot day and got the "Iphone needs to cool down" screen...

so I let it cool down rebooted and its been 24 hrs so far no issues...

Question is now could there be any "internal damage" that this could have cause?

Should i bring it into Apple store have em run a diagnostics?


Any thoughts?Does apple even have any Iphone 4 's in stock for replacements?

If you live on the east coast where they have had 100+ degree temperatures, it could have been well over 150 degrees in the car (depending on direct sunlight or not). I would of course take it in and let them check it out. Maybe a hindsight issue here and don't leave the phone in car with summer heat. I hope for the best for you.

This is common in the iPhones. It is designed to prevent damage. As long as your phone works well, don't worry. You've learned your lesson.

Stop your worrying. It's just a sensor - no permanent damage has been done.
