I sold my iPhone 5 (Verizon) after purchasing the 5s. After the sale I realized I didn't take out the SIM card. Is my identity in danger?

Yes I did the erase all content and settings.

You should be o.k. But just a cautionary note, just yesterday on an Android phone we did a factory wipe and reset (we were moving someone over to a 5s). We checked the box to wipe the SIM card. Also, this SIM was no longer the active one, as we got a new nanoSIM for this person's 5s.

Well, after restarting the Android phone to see if any personal info was left, yep, contacts had been left on the Android phone's SIM, even after the wipe and restart. I removed the SIM, and the contact info was gone from the Android phone. Not sure what happened. But at least on this Android device, the factory wipe and reset was not SIM effective. This may be a problem solely with Android phones, given the myriad number of devices and the crappy manufacturer overlays (e.g. TouchWiz); it is beyond my expertise to know how it is personal info remained on the SIM card after a forced Android wipe and reset.

No problem at all because of the SIM card, unless you are a bad person and you sold it to someone who does not like you lol, jk. No problem at all

I have owned many android phones and have never seen the "wipe sim" box. You may have seen "wipe storage" or "wipe sd card". Is it just me, but I don't remember the last year I stopped saving my contacts to the sim card.

I left my old Straight Talk SIM cards in the 2 iPhone 4S phones that I just sold... I never saved data to them, and I ported the #'s to new SIM cards... Anything I should worry about?

I also gave the activation kit to the buyers in case they wanted to activate the SIM cards...
