Left Speaker stopped working?

Hey guys,

I have a have Haswell 13" macbook air, and recently the left speaker stopped working. I confirmed this by playing music and then using the Left-Right Balance. When the balance was on the left, the music was inaudible, but when the balance was on the right, it played fine from just the right side of the mac.

Im going to bring it to Apple as soon as I can, but is there any way that this is just a software glitch so I can save a trip? Any tips on what to try?

Hi. Try going to System Preferences -> Sound -> Output and make sure the "Balance" is in the middle. I know sometimes mine gets moved to the left or right for unknown reasons.

There is nothing you can do about it. Take it to Apple to be fixed.

I had the same thing happen to my MBA. Apple replaced the speaker and the logic board in my MBA. Works fine now.
