ok so just got my new macbook :) and i loveee itt!

im just wondering though, when you open it are you suppose to hear the disk think? its like a quick "nana" sound like when you eject...

also to the left of my shift button there is itsy bitsy teeny weeny little black dot...

am i just being paranoid?:(

That sound is perfectly normal! Don't worry :)

Not sure what you mean about the black dot...A mark on the aluminium?

well it is a white macbook.

its kinda like when they were molding the plastic something got in it...

it is probably just more buyers remorse (even if i didnt buy it)

There is something wrong with your macbook.

"Nana" is not the correct sound.

You should be hearing, "Nananana nananana hey hey heeeeeeyyyy good bye"

Stop looking for imperfections and enjoy it! :p

If something is actually wrong with it, you'll know. Search around here for your answers too :)

I was more referring to the spot/speck on the shift key.

Everybody seems to think their drive is busted because it does a self-check at startup/wake-up....

also -

this is really me being annoyed i was just wondering if all macbook boxes have "13 inch widescreen notebook" or am i just unaware?

Well they are 13" widescreens.

They're 16:10 ratio (width to height) as opposed to the 4:3 ratio of the more square monitor types.
