Length of time it should last

How long do you think a Apple Watch should last after buying it? Not battery usage life but device wise. In like getting WatchOS updates and not dying because of hardware failure.

I figure 5 years. Anything beyond that is bonus.

I’m still on Series 3, which now makes it 5 years old with no issues. I will probably upgrade to Series 8 now and keep this one as a backup.

Still on Series 2 here (SBSS). Still going strong, battery not a problem and it does what I want it do to (tracking fitness, notifications, weather etc.)

Not so much a question of lasting for me, but what new features do I want badly enough to upgrade.

me too, waiting for series 8 and will give my S3 away to someone. It works fine still but i fancy treating myself. main thing for me, and this sounds daft, is i want more watch faces. also the battery is okay but stuggles with golf.

As a disposable watch, it's not designed to last more than 2-3 years, so feel free to toss it in the landfill and buy new whenever you like.
