I am at the point were I can afford to upgrade some lenses.

I already have the 40mm f2.8 which I feel leaves me in an awkward spot.
(I do have a pentax 28mm f3.5 & 55mm f1.8 but I am not stoked on the quality coming out as they are from the 80's)

I am thinking of canon's 20mm. it seems to have little distortion and is fast for $500ish. BUt then I look at the 17-40mm canon has and it can cover so much more range. I definately need a wide angle before long range.

The 70-200mm f4 by canon is my lens I would get after a wide angle as it's great for stills and I have used it for video before.

My first lens I can spend up to 1000 (after tax)
The 2nd lens I can spend up to 850 (after tax)

Here is some of my work for reference. http://www.youtube.com/user/Mazomedia/videos

AND THANK YOU.

PS- a black magic camera would be my next body.
