Leo installer won't see my one of my hard drives.

Hello everyone! I have a 867mhz MDD power mac. It has three hard drives. One 60 gig pata on the 66 ide in one bay. The other two which aren't seen by the Leo installer are two 500 gig Sata drives hooked up using the Seritek/1s2 2 port Sata controller. When I use disk utility or start up disk when on the 60 gig drive in tiger I'm able to see the drives and boot off the first. My second I'm using for time machine. I took my Geforce 7800S video card out and put back the stock video card in for the install. I've taken my old hard drive out from my G5 imac and put it in and connected it to the controller and it worked fine but had some issues with occasional hanging or apps not responding so i wanted to do a clean install from scratch on to a new 500 gig Western digital hard drive. Everytime I get to the part of selecting a drive only my 60 gig one shows up with a little message saying " Examining available disks...." I've had no luck. Any ideas????
