I came to notice this morning that after updating to Leopard 10.5.1, that everytime I go to a web page using, Firefox (2.0.0.9) or Safari, that contains animations on it, such as ads -my guess are flash based- (ie. Macrumors main page, or my local newspaper Reforma.com, I've seen others also) the CPU utilization jumps to the ceiling, Activity Monitor reports anywere from 20%-76% or so. If I move elsewhere, let's say the Macrumors forum page, the CPU usage drops down to a 2~6% or so.

The problem here is that the Fan works like crazy to try to cool down the CPU

Is it just me or any one else is having this problem?

Until this morning, I had never paid attention to the activity monitor specifically to Firefox or Safari, so I have no point of comparison, other than the fan seems to be working over time to compensate

I read in other threads that this problem was related to the syslogd process, I can't find that in my Activity monitor

Any Ideas?

Cheers!
