This is rather strange. Granted, it is a Hackintosh (OS X running on a Dell Latitude D520), but here's the story:
First time around, I updated the laptop and everything went fine. It was on 10.5.8 and the new energy saver icon was the new lightbulb.
But then…
I messed up some stuff so decided to redo the installation, wipe clean and start from scratch. So I did a 10.5.5 install, restored info with Time Machine, and then updated as normal like before. Except...now the lightbulb is not the same.

I don't think this affects performance in any way (obviously an icon won't), but I was just curious as to why this might be the case?
