I bought the install disks on e-Bay to upgrade my power book G4 laptop 17" but it won't install. Are these disks size specific and maybe I bought one for another size laptop?

They are specific, and Intel only. You need to buy a full retail copy of Leopard.

If your DVDs are grey then flopticalcube's post is correct. If it's black then it should be compatible.

Close. If the discs are gray, they are model specific, and might not be for a laptop at all.
