System:
1.25ghz Alum PB 15" 1280x854
External 20" Dell WS LCD. [main screen when plugged in] 1680x1050

Problem:
Leopard is having a lot of trouble with my duel screen setup. But none of the problems are consistent or predictable.

The list so far:
After plugging in external menu bar and dock switch over to the Dell, but all windows stay on the laptop screen.

Sometimes The windows get switched to the main screen, but some of them sit half on one screen, half on the other.

Hitting cmd-spacebar to bring up spotlight put the spotlight search window 1/3 the way down the dell monitor, and a little off the edge.

Elements, like the onscreen volume control indicator sometimes appear in places other than the normal middle of the screen position.

Quite possibly unrelated, but the RSS screen saver appears broken. This is hard to describe, but basically the animation for the upcoming headline, when spinning and backwards is off the screen at the bottom, and only partially visible. When it flips around and is no longer backwards it jumps up to the normal position and displays as expected.

Any ideas? My setup and prefferences are as they were under Panther, and that setup was used heavily for over a year in that configuration, so I'm quite familiar with it. I'm a student so my laptop is plugged and unplugged at least once a day.

Note: Not all problems happen all the time. Just sometimes, but enough to be bothersome.
