I just upgraded to Leopard (10.5.6) from Tiger, and the one problem I'm having is when I enter, say, the word "Facebook" in the URL bar. In the past, the "www" and ".com" would automatically be added.

Now I'm sent to a Verizon search page. Autofill has been and remains checked and activated.

Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks.

That's your ISP being a fricking idiot. We have Embarq and we get a similar search.

Tell your ISP to stop offering their proprietary search page so that you can get your OS' functionality back.

There's nothing you can do system-side.

There has to be something I can do. My wife's iBook has no problems, so it's not a matter of resetting the modem. It must be something in the upgraded system.
