An unhappy surprise for me, after clean-installing Lion was that the wallpapers that came in Leopard and Snow Leopard... were gone...!

Is there any way for me to restore them? I still have a bootable backup of my previous Snow Leopard installation - is there any way for me to migrate the wallpapers over as well?

(I particularly liked the Earth in Space wallpapers.)

Just access your backup (you shouldn't need to boot from it) and find the wallpapers in Macintosh HD/Library/Desktop Pictures and drag them to the same location on your Lion installed hard drive.

Someone just post a zip of the old wallpapers. Then anyone can add them back.
(forgive me if I'm recommending something that breaks copyright.)
