I had the same problem many of you have been having, after upgrading to Leopard it would endlessly hang at the blue screen, not allowing me to log in.
I tried all the methods to fix it, but I had none of the Application Enhancer files on my system, so nothing seemed to work. I discovered I can get into my system by Safe Booting at startup (Holding down shift). I've tried rebooting normally, but I get the same blue screen.
Since I know there is something wrong with a startup item, what do I do to go about fixing this issue? Is there a way to disable items that launch at startup? I've booted in Verbose mode, and the only thing I see is Airport errors before it hangs on the blue screen( I have no airport in Safe Mode) , so I am wondering if that is to blame.
Thanks for your help!
