Hello,

I have a question about doing the Leopard Clean Install... Will this setting erase the HD or it does a full format?

If you do this clean install a few times in the same computer, would this damage the computer?... The thing is that I've been changing my computer from Tiger to Leopard and back... then did it again... Will this damage the hard disc?

Thanks

You have the option to wipe the hard drive with security or just erase and install.

It won't damage the computer, but hard drives only have a limited amount of write cycles, and I'd guess re-formatting a lot will lower the life span.

the hard drive is designed to be written more than 1,000,000 cycles. Nothing should be worried about. In fact, HD's life seldom be descripted by read/write cycles now. The read/write head will always has problems much earlier than the storage medium.
