I did not get to see the actual coupon, but my dad said in the box that there was a coupon that entitled him to receive a free copy of "an operating system" which was obviously assumed to be Leopard.

Did anybody else find one? I found it pretty strange, especially because its refurbished and it didnt even come in a flashy case...

i didnt see it he just told me.

It was a refurb core duo macbook 1.83ghz.

Probably just the typical coupons Apple includes that don't seem to have been used for anything in years. They're intended to be for some sort of proof of purchase I think. They have nothing to do with a free upgrade (at least not recently).

You can use them for Apple's upgrade program, where if new software is released within 14 days or something or your purchase then you get the software for just the shipping cost.
