Leopard doesn´t work properly

Hi all from a newbie:

i´m having problems with my new imac.

I have it installed on a windows LAN, i shut it down one night and next morning i was unable to drag any icons, can´t copy or paste, my spotlight icon has dissapeared and cant see the network.
I´ve tried using disk utility but no results, this is driving me nuts.
By the way, the imac had leopard installed from factory, and i have migrated all info from macbook pro using the migration utility to transfer all data and applications

My spotlight icon also disappeared some hours ago and I can't even use the search box in the Finder. (See thread "Big Problems with Searching, Spotlight, and more.")

I think both of you need to reinstall Leopard. Follow the advice I gave in https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/401780/.
