i dont know for what reason, my buddy changed his whole harddrive permission thinking he doesnt need to enter his password everytime he does something.

now in result, his mbp is in reboot loop. what would i need to do in single user mode to get the permission corrected? he has been bugging me.

thanks.

i followed this guide -
https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/6623733/

i was able to boot into Leopard, a bunch of kext popped up with errors.

im not able to perform any permission verification or fix.

error pops up in diskutility whether in install disc or sudo terminal.
this is the error - "The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)"

im trying to install AppleJack, but more errors popped up
this one says -
"Installer is damaged
Installer is unable to open the package. This is likely due to install framework's runner executable not having the proper ownership and/or permissions."

I have been intensively researching on these errors, but nothing has worked for me.

any idea?
