OK I know the following story is sadly lacking in details, but on the off chance anyone can help:
Someone in my wife's office was attempting to rename an xls file on a Leopard iMac. Apparently, while she was typing the new name an error message popped up, she clicked OK, and the file disappeared completely. It does not show up anywhere under either the old name or the new name.
She doesn't remember what the error message said, at what point in the process the error message popped up (presumably when she hit enter, but she's not sure), or anything other useful information.
I never made the switch to Leopard so I'm not too useful here, but this document is rather important: any ideas on how to find it?
