leopard graphic problem

Ever since I updated I have had these strange lines on safari and on my desktop or finder pop up. I have done clean installs twice but they always come back. I updated my graphics card firmware and that didnt help anyone else having this problem
looks like I am not the only one I went to the apple forum and found this thread

You are not alone. I had the same issue but it since went away.....I am now continuing my observation.
