Hi people,

Have you noticed that under Leopard the VM size reaches extremely large sizes? Under Tiger, while using Matlab/Mathematica and other memory-hogging pieces of software I used to get to 16G at the most. Under Leopard, with nothing heavier than iCal and iPhoto I reach 30-40G in no time.

Is this kind of thing normal, or is it something that would be ironed out at a later update?

i guess so it will probably be fixed in the next update. but you shouldnt really worry about your virtual memory size. virtual memory is just how much memory a process could use but it doesnt necessary use all of it. only worry about your real memory and page outs.
