Hi, on my girlfriends imac it started acting funny so she rebooted. The reboot took a while and got to the desktop but it wouldn't do anything. It was just the loaded desktop with nothing happening. The mouse would move around but that was it. So after waiting for a while she rebooted again and this time it wouldn't get past the apple logo with the spinning indicator below it. I came over then and tried p r cmd alt I think it was and let it do the two beeps. That didn't help. I stuck in the leopard disk and held down c so it would boot from the dvd. I opened disk utility and it shows the disk but no partitions.

So I was wondering what suggestions anyone might have. There are a few files that she really would like to get off. We had it backed up to a drive but I had to take it with me to get some files off of it for about a week and of course thats when this happened.

Thanks
