Hello,
I have a 17" G4 iMac with OS 10.3.9 installed on it. I also just purchased a used 20" G4 iMac with 10.5.4 installed, but have no system discs for it. I will be keeping both Macs.
I want to upgrade the 17" to 10.5.4 and also have a backup disc for restore/emergency reboots for the 20".
If I purchase a Leopard single license full install would that be ok? Can I upgrade the 17" with it or do I need to do a new clean full install? Would it also work as an emergency reboot for the 20" after I upgrade the 17"?
Or should I purchase a family 5-pack (which is actually just 1 disc anyway)? Is there a way to burn an emergency start-up disc?
Thanks - I can't seem to find an answer via the Apple website & I want to do the right thing.
