Hi,

I've been using MAC's for a long time, but since we left system 9, I've been a bit lost in the software diagnostic and new software areas.

I have the last incarnation of the G4 with mirrored doors, using 10.4.11, two gigs RAM.

Will the architecture handle the OS X Leopard well?

Thank you,

Joel

Hi

Thanks ME1000 for your reply.

Sky Blue,

Very likely yes, Processor speed would be good though.

I'm not exactly sure of what you mean... do you mean my processer is lacking? If you can explain, I'd appreciate that.

I think he wants to know what your Processor speed is... =D

I'm saying it's very likely it'd run Leopard fine but if you gave us the processor speed it'd make it easier. I'm guessing it's 1.25GHz

Re Processor

Thank you for your reply yet again. Here are some specs.

Power Mac G4
Machine Model: PowerMac3,6
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.25 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
L3 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.4.8f2

By the way, I use 'Applejack' off the single user mode, and Memtest' as well. The Memtest log is pretty bleak. If you want, I can post it for your, 'or others perusal.

Fact is, the machine has never worked correctly from the box, and Apple has not been helpful.

All the best,

Joel
