I have a PNG file which was displayed fine in Tiger's quicktime, and also renders smoothly in Leopard's Preview or ImageMagick on Leopard. But, Leopard's Quicktime (Pro, 7.4.1, with the latest Flip4Mac and Perian installed after updating to 7.4.1) makes it look like utter crap.
The main problem is the display of black text on a white/transparent background. Here is a comparison of outputs, followed by the reference image which you can try at home:
From top to bottom: Leopard Preview, Leopard ImageMagick 6.3.8 display command, Tiger Quicktime (of not exactly the same file, but it was produced the same way), Leopard Quicktime (note the text display).
Reference (produced the same way & displays the same as above). This was rendered using PyX and Python 2.5.2 (to produce an EPS) and converted to PNG using ImageMagick. All files actual pixels (no scaling here).
Can anyone else see this strange, ugly text display in Leopard Quicktime? Am I seeing things? Thanks!
