I have no idea how/when this started happening, but I have recently reinstalled Leopard and I just tried screenshoting my desktop and it came out all jumbled.

My Snow Leopard Beta install doesn't have this problem so I think that rules out hardware defects.

I have never heard of this problem before... any suggestions?

I think you have entered the Matrix ;)

Hmmmm, don't know
You have no problems with your screen, right?
Just with the screen shot?

What are you using to get the screen shot?
Keyboard shortcuts?
Grab?
3rd party App?

Hehe.. I wish :)

Yeah, the screen is fine. I just used cmd+shift+3 to take that screenshot.

Hmm this is getting weirder all the time - this happens while taking screenshot of the whole screen either with cmd+shift+3 or Grab. It also happens with cmd+shift+4 while selecting a part of the screen. It does NOT do this, however, when using cmd+shift+4 and then pressing the spacebar and selecting a specific window.
