i find it a big mistake by apple to not allow larger fields/ icons in the new finder sidebar.

the static little icons look not only outdated (and depart form all the other leopard icons) but also it's true what it says here: http://blog.cocoia.com/?p=173

you guys not bothered by the little pixel icons?

they're so 90'ies.

it was just recently when there were talks of resolution independence and the other big icons in leopard and then apple downgrades the finder sidebar with non-resizable icons fields.

I prefer them actually. It never bothered me before, but Tiger's sidebar seems too "clunky" in comparison to Leopard's.

I like it more than what's been done (as in 10.3 and 10.4), but it had better be completely customizable, since I don't use half the cr@p that's there, and on my outdated hardware, many of the stuff (like the whole Spotlight-dependent features) is slow as molasses in Antarctica.
