I used to use SSH and putty on PC, which have color-coding for folders, files etc.

However, Terminal seems to be just black and white, and although I can change the color of the background, and text, I am not sure how to modify it so that when I type ls -l, the folders are bolded and in a different color, hidden files another color etc.

I know I can type ls -G to change the color of the folder, but its just not good enough.

Thanks
