Hi, im wondering if this is a problem with the GMA 950 hardware or with Leopard.

i have a 2nd Gen Macbook, 1.83GHz Core 2, running on OS X Leopard, on the onboard Intel GMA 950.

The Leopard GUI displays itself perfectly when Millions of Colors is selected as the default color. However, 256 colors is greyed out (no surprise), but what really disturbs me is that when i select Thousands of colors (as i always did back in Tiger), windows become somewhat scrambled:

Therefore, i wanna know (if possible) whether:

1)my onboard gfx is suffering hardware problems.

or

2)The GUI just cannot run properly in thousands of colors.

Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was some problem with leopard. I know for a fact, world of warcraft had a lot of graphical glitches under leopard (though they fixed most of it over the past few months.)

My core duo MacBook doesn't look as good on Thousands of Colors, but it does look OK. I don't know why you don't stick with millions of colours though. Even the Rev A 1998 iMac could support Millions of colours.
