leopard to lion

i have a mac book on leopard and a imac on lion can i burn the install file to dvd and install it on my mac book or do i need to fist update that to snow leopard

Did you buy a new iMac that came with Lion? or did you upgrade it to lion?

You must first get Snow Leopard, Then you can get Lion!
