This SL installation is horrendous. I have been unable to successfully update my Leopard Mac Pro to SL and I have absolutely no idea why.
1. Upgrade from Desktop fails (?) after 12 minutes.
The progress bar gets about a sixth of the way finished and my mac inexplicably just restarts as if nothing was going on. There is no error dialog no confirmation box it just goes right to reboot after 10-12 minutes of 'updating to SL'.
2. My Mac Pro refuses to let me choose any other boot disk at startup.
3. I've verified my boot disk, it is perfectly fine. I've repaired permissions and ran all cron jobs.
4. I made a copy of the SL install disk.....same failures.
I'm simply at a loss for words as this is turning into a nightmare. I've used OS X since Panther came out and I've never encountered such a mess.
I thought this install process was supposed to be simple and just work?
