Leopard to SL

Hi There.
I am currently running Leopard and what I want to do is format my HD and install SL. My question is: After I install SL will I be able to use time machine to pull all my stuff over (email from mail and entourage, iphoto pics, music, files, etc) Is it compatible? My guess is yes because its apple we are talking about. I guess its really the emails I am worried about losing.

I would play it safe and export emails and their accounts if emails are your priority. Then you can place them back in
