So I'm pretty sure that this question has been asked and answered at some point, but I really can't handle looking through the huge number of results I got when I searched the forums (maybe everyone's talking about Leopard or something... ;)).

For the last few releases of OS X, how good has Apple been about fixing bugs in a timely manner? How long after they release 10.x.0 do they usually release 10.x.1? How long until the OS is essentially "bug-free"? (I consider Tiger "bug-free". I know it's not, but that's what I consider "bug-free") I know Leopard has been very stable in the last few builds, but IIRC, there were still some issues.

I'm a new Mac user, so I've never had to do an OS upgrade. Pardon my ignorance.

I guess 3 weeks until 10.5.1, but we won't be able to properly gauge the stability of 10.5.0 until the beginning of November. Apple have spent 30 months on this (the longest between any OSX releases) and so it really should be stable from the get-go.
