Just a general note for anyone looking to buy previous OS versions: It's very possible that Apple still sells them, though they are likely not advertised on the site.

The reason I say this is because about 4 years ago or so (I think), I had occasion to call and ask them if they still sold OS 9 install disks (can't remember why now, and I ended up not buying it anyway).

They said that they had OS 9 in stock and gave me the price (I think it was about $99). No joke. I was very surprised to hear that they even had it!

Point being, if you can't find your OS version for sale anywhere else and don't mind paying a (very likely) higher price for it, call Apple and it very well could be that they'll have it for sale. And I'm sure it will be new, in the box, and retail (i.e. not a computer-specific install disc).

That is unless they've changed their policy about selling previous OS versions in the last several years...

Gotta love it!

From $90 to $659.95 on Amazon?! I'll take two!

Supply and demand rarely favors the buyer.

I'm not a buyer, but I'm curious to see at what price the eBay auctions go.
