just upgraded my iMac to Leopard, and its asking me for my password at login. So I enter my password and the screen goes blue for a few seconds but reverts back to a login screen :s

wrong passwords prompt the usual shaking but the correct password its causing a lot of trouble :( blue and back to the login screen :s

anyone had this trouble?

I ran into this as well on my first attempt to use an upgrade installation.
Archive & Install and Erase & Install installations are not affected.
I think the issue is with long admin passwords from your previous OS.
There is a Leopard update that addresses this issue.

One possible solution is to reboot into the Leopard DVD, and proceed to the installer screen, but do not reinstall the system.
Within the menus at the top of the installer screen there is an option to reset the password.

I have a 7 character password and ran into this. I ended up doing an archive and install

I'm currently doing an archive install after trying the upgrade twice and getting the same problem. My password was 8 letters long, but something like that shouldn't really be affecting something that's meant to be as sophisticated as leopard.
