Hi, does running windows 10+office 365 using parallels 13 or 14 on a macbook pro decrease its battery runtime? if it does, approximately how much does it decrease (e.g. 10%)? for about 2 decades, i have been a windows user. windows laptops are catching up to apple laptops in some ways but accessing factory service solely over the telephone has been annoying. having one or more apple stores in almost every major city makes servicing an apple laptop seem a lot easier. i am considering switching to an apple macbook pro using parallels 14. before switching though, i need to know about battery runtime because i am an 8 hours a day laptop user often away from an outlet. thanks for sharing your knowledge or experience in advance.

Just a question: If Office is what you're using, you don't need to run Parallels. You can run Office natively in macOS which should enable you to get excellent battery life. Of course, the battery life you actually get will depend a lot on precisely what you are doing with your laptop...

i only use outlook but must run it in windowsOS using parallels on mac. running outlook natively in macOS won't give me the same features as running it natively in windowsOS.

about what i will be doing with the macbook pro if i do switch to one, i will, using parallels, keep outlook on at all times while i use other native mac software (e.g. safari and pages).

approximately, how much would the battery runtime decrease (e.g. 10%)?
