Less than $15 case I stumbled upon last night and not cheap neoprene

Hi all,

I was nosing around the local MicroCenter last night looking for a case to keep my new iPad in. I wanted something thin and inexpensive, but am not really wild about the neoprene stuff.

So, I found this CaseLogic netbook case for $15 retail and it's nearly a perfect fit and it's made from nylon cloth so it doesn't have that saggy neoprene look and feel.

Here are a couple pics I took which will give you an idea:

Sorry the pics are at a slight angle. If I tried to take them directly overhead, the flash was completely visible in the iPad's glossy screen which made them kinda useless.

I have the same sleeve. Bought it the day after I got my iPad at Office Depot. I like it a lot as well although it is a bit roomy at the top - about an inch too long. Not a big deal and does leave room for a charge/sync cable.

It's a great sleeve to use to carry just the iPad around and tuck it under your arm. Also works great when you want to throw the iPad in your backpack or briefcase. I haven't seen a sleeve that offers more drop protection (plenty of padding) than this case.

One other small downside for me was that the zipper opens to far for my tastes. I would prefer that it only opened at the top but that is easily resolved with a needle & thread or a safety pin.

I have since purchased other iPad specific cases & a bag that this won't fit inside but I still keep this handy for situations where I want to protect the iPad as much as possible. The iPad in the inCase convertible case will even fit in this sleeve - though a bit tight and probably overkill.

another case to consider

Got this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IG5UJ4/ref=oss_product) from Amazon to hold me til my Dodo case comes. It's quite good and under $15 (slightly over with shipping). Made out of nylon; can serve as an adequate stand. For what it's worth, it also came with a free USB cable that works with iPad/iPhone.
