I want to run my Mac Book from my trolling motor battery on my Jon boat. I just don't want to buy a $130 battery and swap them out in the middle of a fishing trip to watch 4 DVD's.

Can this be done? I know Apple sells the airline magsafe thing but this is incompatible with a car and I see no other options.

Well for $130 you could buy a portable DVD player. I mean you could try, but you really need to test the voltage. Something tells me that you'll be pretty pissed if you fry your mac because you wanted to watch 4 dvds.

I don't want to "monkey" anything and test voltage. I wanted to see if theres anyone who knows of an aftermarket product that would work out of the box

All you would need to do is wire up a lighter plug to the battery and use on of the options in this article to power the computer.
