Finally iBooks is here for Mac and I hope if you're an avid reader or researcher you've been taking notes within iBooks.

For me, I'd personally love to be able to open a new book in iBooks on my Mac and then read it on all my devices. Of course, this feature already exists but I believe only for books purchased in iBooks Store. I've not had success when dropping in my own .epub files into iBooks for Mac and later hoping to see the same said book on my iPhone or iPad iBooks app. The closest to success i've come across in this regard is in reaching for the same .epub file from the DropBox app on my iPhone, sending that file to iBooks for iPhone and then all the bookmarks and notes sync up.

My main focus w/ iBooks is in wanting to read a new book (reading 3-4 new books a week) and doing something that seems so much easier to do on an Apple device, which is to take notes; of which I highlight primarily concepts of interests mentioned in writings and also words I've not yet come across in hoping to expand my vocabulary. Therefore, I'm wondering if there is any elegant review option in hoping of wishing to sit down on a Sunday night and read/reviewing all my notes from the last few books that I read. Hell, even an export option into Pages for later printing would be great.

Anyhow, just figured i'd ask such questions regarding iBooks; an app I hope i'm not alone in rejoicing has finally arrived to the Mac, where surprisingly i've been tackling a lot more reading than usual.. even when the actual physical book is next to me (admittedly with my thumb in between pages just in case my Mac dies). :p

Also, i'm wondering where are the .epub files i'm sending to iBooks saved? I would hate to lose my collection (and highlighted notes) randomly.
